America’s senior population is growing and growing more diverse. We need new housing models to meet new, expanding needs. Enterprise is responding with a spectrum of housing options and innovations.
-
More and more seniors are living in housing that was not
designed to adapt to their needs.
- Much of the affordable housing for seniors was built in the 1960s, and does not offer the amenities today’s seniors want and need.
- Americans are living longer. Many cannot afford to — or don’t want to — move to assisted living centers, but need more support to remain in their homes.
Enterprise’s housing portfolio includes more than 30,000 rental and ownership homes designed for seniors, totaling an investment of more than $1.7 billion. We are focused on continuing to develop new resources and financing tools to meet today’s needs, including environmentally smart senior housing through Enterprise’s Green Communities initiative.
