Webinars (also called Live Online Events) are expert-led, interactive, Web-based seminars. Attendees watch the presentation live on their computer, and listen in using either their computer's speakers or the telephone.
With the exception of HUD NSP Training sessions, all of our Live Online Events are free, including the optional phone call.
They generally run about 90 minutes.
You will need a computer with a web browser to view the event.
Audio is simultaneously broadcast via the internet (heard through your computer's speakers) and a toll-free conference call. We have a limit of 200 phone lines; anyone joining an event after those lines are taken must use the audio feed from the internet.
We use WebEx for our events. If you haven’t used WebEx before, we suggest that you first make sure the program will run properly on your computer. This can be accomplished by joining a test meeting provided by WebEx. Go to http://developers.webex.com/api/jointest/index.php to view the system requirements and join the test meeting. This should be done at least an hour before the start of the event.
Yes, WebEx has a user-friendly ‘Q&A’ feature whereby attendees can type in questions and receive answers from the presenters or panelists.
Contact WebEx customer support, at 1-866-229-3239.
Yes, we record all of our Live Online Events. This includes the presentation (with audio) and possibly poll results or Q&A transcripts. The presentations and any additional documents are posted on the Live Online Events Archive page, generally within 48 hours.
If you have any other questions about our Live Online Events, please send an email.
